In this 5-hour continuing education class participants will gain skills in bridging the gap between body and mind within the therapeutic process. Participants will also gain new awareness and integration of the body/mind/emotion connection.
InBody Somatic Education is a teaching format influenced by the work of Marion Rosen, P.T., founder of Rosen Method bodywork and movement, Milton H. Erickson, M.D., and new research as it has been applied by Alan Schore, Ph.D., and others.
Taught by:
Sandra Wooten, M.A., has 30 years of teaching experience in this field. She is a senior teacher of Rosen Method™ bodywork, having apprenticed with Marion Rosen for many years. She has studied Ericksonian hypnotherapy with Eric Greenleaf, Ph.D. and is certified as a clinical hypnotherapist. Sandra is founder of Rosen Method Center Southwest located in Santa Fe, NM, and InBody Somatic Education™.
Gail Bourque, P.T., Psy.D., has been a physical therapist and Rosen Method Bodywork practitioner and workshop teacher for over 20 years. She has been a Somatic Psychotherapist since 1996 and a Psychologist since 2002. She has studied with Allan Schore and Peter Levine and is in the Somatic Experiencing (SE) training.
