The Feldenkrais Method® utilizes gentle movement sequences to effect change. Moshe Feldenkrais, physicist/engineer, invented the method to relieve pain in his knees. His curiosity led to over 2,000 lessons effecting everything from pain relief to improved balance, from better performance to a welling up of happiness.

During lessons, curiosity is piqued and surprises continually happen. The goal of each lesson is “to make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant,” Moshe Feldenkrais wrote.

Terry’s students report freedom from pain, greater mobility, better balance, and a sense of comfort and joy within themselves. There are two types of lessons, as shown in photos below:

During private lessons, the student lies on a table and is gently moved by Terry. In Awareness Through Movement® group classes, students lie on mats on the floor and follow a series of verbal directions.
