To Throw Your Heart Over the Fence

"Dr. Schoen is a master at creating a safe place for personal exploration and group development."
Sherril Douglas Smith, Marriage Family Therapist

Viewpoint

The title of this workshop draws from a lesson in the world of horsemanship: Approaching a fence at full gallop, the rider must first throw his heart over the fence. The horse will follow.

The emphasis in the workshop is on human contact—on freedom in relationship with others and within oneself—to clear the hurdles presented to the heart.

A few more comments from last year's workshop:

"Dr. Schoen provided a model of utilizing the power of Gestalt Psychotherapy in a gentle, supportive manner. A valuable learning experience, while nurturing my spirit."

Diane Huisinga, Clinical Psychologist

"Stephen combines gentleness with a tenderly piercing acuity. He really is a medicine man."

Gemma Harris, psychology student at the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco
