Susan Reuling Furness has been in practice in Boise, Idaho since 1989. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Registered Poetry Therapist. Susan trained in hypnosis at the Milton Erickson Institute in Phoenix, AZ. She affiliates with the Milton H Erickson Institute of the Bay Area. Working with expressive approaches for individuals, couples, and groups, Susan knows that an experience in therapy is more valuable than talking about problems. Working in partnership with her clients, she understands that each client situation deserves personalized consideration. She offers individualized sessions, which resonate with you as a client and your belief system.
Susan has served as adjunct faculty for three regional counseling graduate programs and is a frequent presenter at state conferences. In addition, she serves as faculty for the Milton H Erickson Institute of the Bay Area programs in Mexico. From 2010-2016 she served as faculty for the Expressive Therapy Summit in New York City. She is an approved supervisor for counselors seeking licensure in the state of Idaho. In addition, Susan is certified by the International Federation of Biblio/Poetry Therapy to train and supervise in the field of poetry therapy. Susan is a graduate of the University of Illinois and The College of Idaho.
